Множественный симметричный липоматоз, также известный как болезнь Маделунга, является редким заболеванием неясной этиологии, характеризующимся заметным ростом неинкапсулированных жировых масс в первую очередь вокруг шеи, верхнего плечевого пояса и спины. На сегодняшний день описано около 300 случаев с данной патологией. Одним из провоцирующих факторов развития множественного симметричного липоматоза является алкоголь, который может действовать в качестве кофактора развития липоматоза. Диагноз ставится на основании анамнеза заболевания, физического обследования пациента. Вариантом выбора в диагностике заболевания является КТ, которая позволяет на дооперационном этапе определить распространение и инвазию жировых масс в близлежащие мягкие ткани.

Multiple symmetric lipomatosis also known as Madelung's disease is a rare disease of unknown etiology, characterized by a marked increase in non-encapsulated fatty mass in the first place around the neck, upper body and back. Currently, there is only about 300 cases with this pathology. The reason for the emergence and development of multiple symmetric lipomatosis is alcohol, which can act as a cofactor in the development of lipomatosis. Diagnosis is based on history, physical examination of the patient. Choices in diagnostic activities is computed tomography which allows preoperative determine the spread and invasion of fat mass in the surrounding soft tissue.
